NRACountry Kind of Day

I was editing a story about hunting wild, surly boars with handguns when I needed to check some facts about a big freakin’ gun in question.
Did you know Magnum Research, the gun gurus that brought us the Hollywood favorite Desert Eagle, also makes its BFR (Big Fine Revolver) chambered in .45 Long Colt/.410-bore shotgun?

That’s right, like the Taurus Judge , you can shoot a 250-grain pistol round or a load of birdshot or buckshot out of the same five-shot handgun.

Here’s another fact: I want one. With it I could hunt deer in the morning, squirrels in the afternoon (if I can trick my nephew into cleaning them)  and hogs in the evening;  Finally if I just want to look cool in front of my new girlfriend—you know I’m day-dreaming now—there’s few things that look more shiny than a new BFR in my diminutive hand on the range later that night. Now that’d be one big freakin’ NRACountry kind of day! But now that I’ve got the facts, I’m still left questioning: Where am I going to come up with a spare $1,000, and who’s gonna help me eat all those squirrels?
