Justin Moore concert 7-6-11

On July 6th, 2011, Justin Moore played a show at Whiskey Wild Saloon in Columbia, MO. Dustin Lynch and a local band opened. Dustin was a great up and coming artist who has a very bright future in country music. It was both my wife and my first time seeing Justin in concert even though we are both huge fans. He opened with How I Got To Be This Way which rocked. He played such hits as Small Town USA, Backwoods, Hank It, If Heaven Wasn't So Far Away as well as other tracks from his debut and his new album. My two favorite performances were Guns and Outlaws Like Me. When introducing Guns he went on to mention that he was sponsered by Wrangler and the NRA and he also stated "Apparently I'm a crazy conservative who thinks I oughtta be able to keep my damn guns" which got a huge response of claps and screams from the full house crowd. He then proceeded to say "If you have a problem with Wranglers or the NRA you came fo the wrong damn place" which also got a huge response from the crowd, then he went into Guns. Outlaws Like Me was the first of 2 or 3 encore songs. He was accompanied by only the keyboard player. He introduced the song saying that when he first started on his journey to be a singer, his relationship with God was way down at the bottom of his priority list which led to some things he regretted, but now he has made it his number 1 priority and that it has led to much more happiness and love in his life. He said the song was about exactly that, then went into. It was a spine chillingly awesome performance. Full of emotion. At the end he showed his crazy vocal range which got the biggest applause of the night and gave me chills like I've never felt before. Overall, the concert pushed Justin Moore to my favorite country artist to see live and 2nd favorite overall. He puts on an amazing show and I can't wait to see him again!
